LE CABINET PERECIEN
The Cabinet Perécien is composed of about 80 objects made by hand and based on the novel "La Vie mode d'emploi" by Georges Perec. History(s) of the inhabitants and the objects that surround them, in the building of 11 rue Simon Crubellier in Paris, between 1875 and 1975.

The author describes the apartments and all the objects inside in great detail. Boxes, stamps, stickers, books, signs and letters. Each step of this work -from the documentary research to the making of the objects- was intimately playful and substantial.


Construction of a shelf based on the cross-sectional plan of the (fictional) building at 11 rue Simon-Crubellier reported in the book. The objects are then placed in their respective "apartments". The goal is to bring the spectator into the universe of the novel, and to make these fictional objects live in reality. The following objects have all been custom-made, based on the author's descriptions, using several techniques such as silk-screening, binding, embossing, industrial embroidery, transfer...
